About Me

Perhaps the best way to describe me is that I have gravitated toward the “road less traveled” in my choices.

Environment and Sustainability

When we create a healthier, saner and more sustainable environment around ourselves and in our communities, everyone benefits. We save money, improve physical and psychological health and well-being, and build social cohesion. When we get out of automobiles and travel in other ways, we connect with more people. When we do not stay holed out in homes watching big-screen TVs that consume considerable amounts of energy, we help the environment and we are more likely to feel more socially connected and less isolated. Walking, sharing our life and experience with others, and being more mindful of what is around us empowers us to feel and live better. There is a great deal of misinformed and incomplete thinking about environmental and sustainability issues about which I will comment from time to time.
